About Marcia
I have been passionate about the fine arts all of my life. I began dance lessons when I was three years old and piano lessons shortly afterward. As a teenager, I added guitar and voice lessons to my after-school activities, and expanded my study of the arts throughout college, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
In 1989 I discovered that my love of music could only be matched by my desire to share that love. I launched my teaching career with the goal of assisting all of my students in forming a joyful, lifelong relationship with music. The best way I know how to create such a relationship is through patience, kindness, and adaptability. I truly honor the unique goals of each student and enjoy accommodating individual learning styles and collaborating to create a customized path. Each student is a gift in my life!
